CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing
CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing works by creating thousands of equidistant, closely grouped, tiny areas of skin damage of equal depth and leaves healthy untreated tissue surrounding the treated zones. This untreated tissue helps to fill in the damaged area with new cells causing collagen remodeling, skin tightening, and improved skin texture as the area heals. In traditional laser resurfacing, the entire top layer of skin in the targeted area is removed making for a longer healing process.
Because CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing leaves untreated skin intact, healing begins immediately. Although the depth of skin removal is the same as classic laser resurfacing, the recovery time is much faster and there is no need for local anesthesia. Make-up can even be applied the next day.
CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing is an appropriate choice for men and women who are busy and can't take a lot of time for recovery. The procedure is beneficial for treating acne scars, aging skin, wrinkles, folds and even stretch marks. One to several treatments may be necessary depending on the condition being treated.
