Ankur Johri, DDS, MD, FACSDr. Ankur Johri earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with Honors in 2003 at the highly reputed University of Toronto. In 2009, he obtained his Medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Johri then finished four additional years of residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) at the prestigious and highly ranked University of Connecticut. Dr. Johri is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS). He is also a Fellow in renowned American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Johri is also trained in non-surgical hair restoration, custom facial recontouring implants and jaw correction surgery for esthetically conscious patients. Dr. Johri is also using cutting edge technology such as Photogrammetry, 3D printing and Digital Impression Scanners to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes. He is teaching these modalities to other surgeons through hands on courses. Aside from striving to be an excellent Clinician, he is also committed to Peer Education. He was awarded the Teacher of the Year award in 2015 from Lehigh Valley Hospital in the field of OMS. Dr. Johri is a Peer journal reviewer for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has also authored a chapter on infections in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America. He has also written an eBook on implant treatment for severely atrophic maxillas. Dr. Johri is also an Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS) - only a select few Oral Surgeons in the country are selected for this purpose. Dr. Johri has an Unrestricted Anesthesia permit from the State of Pennsylvania that allows him to perform General Anesthesia in the office. He is ACLS, PALS and BLS certified. He is a Diplomate of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA). Dr. Johri is a member of several professional organizations including AAOMS, PSOMS, PDA and ADA, FACS. Dr. Johri’s personal interests include traveling, listening to music, and Yoga. |
