Exparel: Opioid-Free Pain Control In light of the ongoing opioid epidemic, we are excited to offer EXPAREL (Bupivicaine Liposome in a DepoFoam carrier) to our patients who would like a NON-OPIOID solution for pain control post-surgery. Approved by the FDA in 2018, EXPAREL is a long lasting NON-NARCOTIC pain control solution. Clinical trials have shown statistically significant reduction of pain from Oral Surgery procedures up to 3 days after the surgery. EXPAREL is a safe, non-addicting pain control modality. It is injected at the surgical site after surgery and stays at the site of action for 3 days providing excellent pain relief. EXPAREL is typically not covered by Medical and Dental insurance.
