Innovative Peer Education

Innovative Peer Education logo We at Lehigh Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery are excited to be the ONLY Lehigh Valley affiliate of the renowned Seattle Study Club! We invite all our referring and new Dentists in the Lehigh Valley to join this informative and fun Study Club. Seats are limited so please call our office at (610) 435-6161 if you wish to learn more about the program!

Our club is called "Innovative Peer Education". The focus of our group will be on Total Case Management and Comprehensive Treatment Planning, with emphasis during the first year on interdisciplinary care for our patients. We will be affiliated with the Seattle Study Club, a leader in the field of dental continuing education. There are more than 250 Seattle Study Clubs world wide, with over 6,500 members to date. We are now the only affiliate in the Lehigh Valley.

Coordination between the restorative doctor, the surgeon, and the laboratory has been the key ingredient in achieving successful results for patients. Therefore, we are committed to organizing a network of restorative dentists who are interested in practice growth, utilizing a comprehensive view with treatment planning and innovative treatment modalities.

Our Advisory Board consists of:
•  Dr. Peter Cilento and Dr. Caren Ruht (Prosthodontists)
•  Dr. Hugh Friel (Orthodontist)
•  Dr. Timothy Lin (Endodontist)
•  Stacy Wehrheim (Newtech Dental Labs)

In keeping with our focus on treatment planning and total case management, and emphasis on interdisciplinary care for our patients, we will seek to address and meet the following objectives:
•  To improve treatment planning expertise in honing our skills.
•  To become more comfortable with treatment of implant cases.
•  To establish a support network with Lehigh Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery acting as a resource center for educational materials and coordination of treatment.
•  To utilize the support of the Advisory Board to provide expertise during the clinical sessions, as well as working with you closely on your first and/or ongoing implant cases.
•  Utilize the small group interactive sessions to develop relationships and share not only the clinical problems we may experience but to spotlight the “pearls” and tips that we have learned along the way.

If you have any questions or concerns or would like more information on how to join the "Innovative Peer Education" Study Club, please contact Taylor (Our Implant Coordinator) at (610) 435-6161 or implants@lehighoms.com
