Facial Fillers

Woman pointing at her beautiful, youthful skinAs the times change, so do the methods of getting things done. Cosmetic surgery is no exception to evolution. Instead of having expensive surgeries, individuals are opting for dermal fillers, injections that can smooth the wrinkles out, making your face, facial lines, lips and other areas of the face look more natural and appealing.

Dermal fillers are often referred to as "liquid facelifts" because of the way the procedure is performed; it is very different from a normal cosmetic surgery. You can visit a skin doctor to have the dermal filler procedure done, and you do not have to worry about long recovery times. These procedures do not provide permanent results, but you can have the process repeated to obtain - and maintain - the results that you desire.

The dermal filler procedure is straight forward. Once you arrive at the skin doctor, he will:
•  Examine the areas that you want you see results in.
•  Map out those areas to serve as a guide once the filler process begins.
•  Thoroughly cleanse the area where the injections will take place.
•  Inject you with the fillers.
•  Clean the area up.
•  Apply an ice pack to the areas where you are feeling the most discomfort.

If you think a dermal filler injection procedure takes hours, you are mistaken. Once the injection process begins, a skin doctor will spend a few seconds on each area of the face that has been mapped out. The procedure generally takes a few minutes to complete. Even though you will feel some discomfort after the dermal filler procedure is complete, it is not severe, and it is temporary.
